Kevin Konrad Obituary

KONRAD - Kevin D. of Chatham, NJ (formerly of Long Island, NY), on November 26, 2021, at the age 59. Kevin graduated from St. John the Baptist High School in West Islip, NY, class of 1980, and went on to receive a degree in business administration from the NY Institute of Technology. He was employed with the NY Stock Exchange with the position of director of procurements. He went on to work as a Vice President of operations at NYC & Company. Kevin was eyewitness to the catastrophe that was the destruction of the World Trade Center on 9/11 and suffered the effects of the toxic debris that day. Devoted father of Jack, whom he loved above all things. Loving son of Mary Konrad. Dear brother of Donald and Katie. He is also survived by his fiancee', Kelly Wolf, who loved, nursed and cared for him during his long and devastating illness. His motto was, "You put the ball on the tee, you hit the ball and you move on. What's the big deal?" Memorial visiting will be Thursday, 4-8PM at the Overton Funeral Home, Inc., 172 Main St., Islip, NY. Funeral Mass, Friday, 10AM, St. Patrick's RC Church, Bay Shore, NY.

I only recently learnt of the sad loss of Kevin. Myself and my friend met him when we were visiting New York from Ireland. He was a very proud New Yorker. He was also so proud of his son Jack who he beyond adored. I am so very sorry. Thoughts are with Jack and Kevin's family and friends. RIP Kevin.

Day after Thanksgiving. Yesterday gathering with family and giving thanks for so many people, so many things in our lives. Also during these Thanksgiving days we remember so many folks we loved and who have died, yup Kevin, you are there in that number. You had a way about you that I will always remember and give thanks.

Kevin was a friend. In the simplest of ways he made me feel better about myself. He will not be forgotten by me and I´m sure most others who had the joy of knowing him. George
