I worked with Marty for many years, a very nice person and a good union representative for teachers. He worked hard for the students.

I would not have attended college (or graduate school) without Martin's help. After my father died, he made me a special project, and made sure that I had what I needed to apply for and attend college. He was the only adult in my life who had the vision of me attending college and beyond. I owe him so much.

Great teacher! All around a good person. Loved going to his class. He got me hooked on reading The NY Times. RIP sir.
