To the greatest brother one can have, that was my only brother. He certainly was along with our Father Harold Sturm They were 2 of the Best men that ever graced this planet and I miss my family dearly. I only wish I would have gotten it together earlier, but I have now and will always walk tall in the footsteps of Mike and our Father Harold. Thank you, Andrew R Sturm.

Dear Liz, Daniel, Matthew, and Rachel,
Words cannot express how I feel about the loss of Mike. He was one of my closest friends in college, and the memories of him will always be there. I hope the family will remain strong as Mike would have wanted, and please know that any of you can talk to me if you just want to talk. This has taken me awhile to put into words, but please know I think about him (and all of you) quite often.
God bless,
Ken Marose

Told today (8/4/09) about Mike's sickness and death saddened me greatly. I too was one his colleagues at the old Grumman, starting the year after him. Mike was admired by many of us, for his discipline, his brains, his creativity, and his basic goodness. While a little late, I'd like his family to know Mike is in my thoughts and prayers.

My condolences on the passing of Mike. I know he will be missed. The one good thing is that we know he will be with the Lord free of any pain or suffering. Our prayers are with you and the family for your loss.

I feel priveledged to have known Mike from the time he started working at Grumman. He was one of my young guns that I could always count on. I was sure that he would succeed in whatever he tried to do. It is with great sadness that I have heard of his passing. I didn't realize how much he was involved with his church and religion. I know that he is going to be well received by his lord.
I wish that he would have been able to be at my ordination

Celebrating a life well lived. I will cherish his memory forever. A righteous man has passed this life into life eternal -"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." (John 3:16).

Dear Liz and family,
Mike was one of the "young guys" in the group when I arrived on the scene at the old Grumman back in 1977, and I've been privileged to have him as an esteemed colleague and friend for more than 30 years. I can’t begin to convey how much I valued not only his extraordinary technical competence and dedication, but the insight, perspective and humor that made him both a marvelous teammate on innumerable projects and a trusted personal confidant. Mike’s ability to solve complex problems and present the results concisely and with clarity was remarkable. His amazing presentations honoring the contributions of retiring colleagues were nothing short of legendary, showing his great sense of humor as well as the depth of his appreciation for those around him.
While Mike’s untimely passing leaves a profound sense of loss, I hope you’re comforted in knowing that his positive influence here will be lasting and remembered. Mike enriched our lives in many ways, and he will be missed.

Dear Liz and family,
My name is Katie. I knew Mike as a friend and colleague from Northrop Grumman. He spent a little time in California back in the 90's, and quickly became a welcome addition to our little group. I found out early that Mike was also my brother in Christ, and we spent a great deal of time talking about the Lord. One of my fondest memories was one day when Mike and I took my boss out to lunch, and Mike just shared the truth of the Gospel with him without holding anything back. What a witness! What a testimony. My husband and I invited him to our home once or twice for dinner and we had a wonderful opportunity to worship together. I look forward to seeing him again some day.
You're all in my prayers. May the hope we have in Jesus sustain you until you're once again reunited with Mike in eternity.
In His grace,
Katie Reichert

As a recent new hire, I have worked for Mike for the past two and a half years. He was truly a great manager and an amazing mentor. I only wish to one day become both half the engineer and half the warm-hearted and generous person Mike was. Mike, you sincerely will be missed.

I worked for Mike for the entire time I have been at Grumman (since 2002).I have been an engineer for 50 years and Mike was in the top 3 list of my best bosses. He was hardworking, conscientious, a great engineer, a great boss, and a really nice guy.

I enjoyed working with Mike at Northrop Grumman. Although I was only part of the group he worked in for a short time, I came to appreciate Mike's humor and calm and thoughtful approach to his work and especially to his relationships with co-workers. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. And I will personally miss Mike very much.

Dear Liz and family
What a wonderful person! He was kind and helpful, always cheerful and I enjoyed when he'd walk down by my desk and just start up a conversation. He will be greatly missed by so many people here at Northrop Grumman. I've received so many lovely thoughts from people who have heard and wanted to express their thoughts on Mike. He was a man who touched many lives! May you find comfort knowing that he will be watching over your family.
