Nicholas Kocoris Obituary

Kocoris - Nicholas D., 90, of Levittown, NY, on July 28, 2025. Survived by his wife, Christina; and three children, Dimitrios James, Anastasios, and Stamatina; their spouses; and three grandchildren. Our dad was the embodiment of the American immigrant success story: he landed in Canada with just the clothes on his back, moved his family to the US in the late 1960s in search of greater opportunities, and became a proud American citizen. He was a master chef who worked in many, and owned a few restaurants along the way, and never met a stranger, friend, or family member that he didn't want to feed and connect with. He was universally loved and admired by everyone whom he met. He will never be forgotten for his generosity of spirit and amazing sense of humor. Love you forever, Pops. Viewing Friday 10am-12pm, Mass to follow at 12pm at: Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 20 Field Ave., Hicksville, NY 11801, Interment to follow at: St. Margarets Cemetery, 1000 Washington Ave., Plainview, NY 11803.

My heartfelt condolences to Mrs. Kocoris, Jim, Tom and Tina. Mr. Kocoris was a very nice and generous man, and I have always been grateful that he and Mrs. Kocoris were always so welcoming to me all of those years ago. I have many a fond memory of times spent with all of you, and of all that delicious food that he was always preparing.
You were all blessed to have him in your lives. We live in SC now and I´m sorry that we lost touch over the years, but I hope all is well with all of you otherwise.
