Patricia Abut Obituary

ABUT - Patricia (nee Verrall), passed away on December 29th at her home in Toms River, NJ. Patsy Ann was the first of many grandchildren in the Verrall clan, born to Edward and Dorothy on March 20, 1936 near Philadelphia. She eventually moved to East Rockaway, NY where she met her husband of 50 years, David, who died in 2008-leaving her heartbroken. They leave behind their adoring children Gail (George), Christine (Christopher), David (Robert), Brian (Tracey) and Michele (Edwin). Her grandchildren Frank, Ken, Brian, Sean, Matthew and little Sofia will be strengthened by her legacy of love. Pat also leaves behind her loving sister, Nancy, and her children Pam, June, Anne and the late Thomas Pedicini. Her family will be receiving friends on Monday 2-4 pm & 7-9 pm at Donza Funeral Home 333 Atlantic Avenue, East Rockaway, LI. Religious service Monday 8 pm. Funeal 10 am Tuesday morning with interment to follow to LI National Cemetery, Pinelawn, NY.

Having the opportunity to know Pat (and David) Abut, I can only say that the world was better for having them, sadder for losing them... and Heaven is lucky to have them both together again. My deepest sympathies to all of the Abut family and especially to my dear friend, David... God Bless.
