DEBIASI, Jr. - Ralph Michael, a resident of East Rockaway, New York, passed away quietly in his summer home in Stonington, CT on Tuesday September 8, 2015. Born in Brooklyn on June 30, 1946, the son of Ralph Michael DeBiasi Sr. and Ida DeBiasi, he was near the water all of his life. His passion for sailing started at a young age with his first boat, a sunfish, where he first experienced the joy of the water. He attended Lynbrook High School and NYU where he studied finance and accounting. Over the years, he developed and maintained many meaningful family and personal relationships. In his last few years, he returned "home" to be closer to the family homestead in Noank. Ralph enjoyed sitting on the front porch of his grandfather's home and would frequently say, "Who would ever leave this place?" For all his contributions, Ralph was generous, jolly and had a great sense of humor. Ralph enjoyed going to Block Island by boat or with his bike. Over the last few years The Stonington Yacht Club was a fun place for Ralph to laugh, eat and have good times with his friends. He leaves his beloved wife and partner of 38 years, Mary DeBiasi; his two children, Nancy DeBiasi Gillen of Rockville Centre, NY (Peter Gillen), Ralph DeBiasi III (Erin Murphy DeBiasi) and grandson, Connor DeBiasi. Farewell Dadfair winds and following seas! Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 11th from 5-8 pm at the Mystic Funeral Home on Route 1 in Mystic CT. A funeral mass will be celebrated Saturday, September 12th at 10:00 am at St. Mary Mother of the Redeemer Church 69 Groton Long Point Rd. Groton, CT.
