Richard Alston Pearson

PEARSON - Richard Alston "Dick" formerly of Riverhead, NY passed away in FL on November 10, 2014 in his 82nd year. Loving son of Elizabeth and Harry Pearson. Loving husband of 54 years to Elizabeth. Devoted father to Vicki, Debbie, Kim, Karin and prede- ceased son Keith. Cherished grandfather of 10 and great grandfather of 5. Beloved brother to his twin John. Born July 25, 1932, Richard served as a Sargeant in the US Army and was a Master Mechanic and a member of Local 138 where he was an active union member. His work career at Scalamandre Construction spanned more than 40 years. He loved flowers and had a passion for gardening. He was always graced with a smile, and his laughter was contagious. It was his nature to always help others. He loved his dog Lily La Pew who gave him much love and comfort. Memorial visitation at Moloney's Hauppauge Funeral Home, 840 Wheeler Road (Rte 111), Haup- pauge, NY Tuesday, December 16, 2014, 2-4 and 7-9 PM. A celebration of his life and honoring God will be held Tuesday at 8 PM. Funeral Wednesday, December 17, 2014, 11 AM at funeral home. Interment following Long Island National Cemetery, Farmingdale, NY.
