BENNETT - Rita E. (nee Mackin) went to be with our Lord and Savior and to join her husband Richard F. Bennett (Det. Sgt. NYPD) on November 6, 2012. Loving and cherished mother of Brian and his wife Sonya. Adored "Ya-Ya" to her two precious and treasured grand-daughters Meaghan and Michaela. Dear sister of Virginia Yaeger. Rita was a lector for St. Louis de Montfort R.C. Church in Sound Beach, NY for many years and past president of the Columbiettes Council #1241, Hempstead, NY. She retired from. U.C.P Nassau County (24 Years) and the I.R.S., Holtsville (8 Years). Rita was a woman who loved life, was a friend to all and had a deep devotion to St. Joseph. Rest in peace with your Dad and Mom.
