SMITH - Robert Anthony, December 22, 1931-December 11, 2015. Mr. Smith was honorably discharged from the U.S. Navy on November 19, 1959. He was a retired Manager for New York Telephone, a member of the Knights of Columbus & the American Legion. Devoted son of the late Christian A. Smith and the late Mary C. Smith, nee Campbell. Beloved husband of Mary Elizabeth Smith, nee Smith. Loving father of Mary Ann Bonacum (Brian) of Fanwood, New Jersey, Robert Joseph Smith (Barbara) of Down-ingtown, Pennsylvania, Gerard Christian Smith (1961-1973), Michael Gerard Smith (Carolyn) of Saint James, NY and Joseph Patrick Smith (Natasha) of Saint James, NY. Cherished grandfather of Michael R. Bonacum, Brian G. Bonacum, Timothy P. Bonacum, Thomas C. Bonacum, Meagan E. Pecsok (Tommy), Brendan G. Smith, Ryan C. Smith, Gerard K. Smith, Christian P. Smith and Michael W. Smith. Friends may call at Saint James Funeral Home, 829 Middle Country Road, Rte. 25, Saint James Monday and Tuesday, 2-4 and 7-9 P.M. Funeral Mass Wednesday, 10:30 A.M. St. Patrick's R.C. Church, Smithtown. Interment following St. Charles' Cemetery, Farmingdale.
