Ronald SHAPEY Obituary

SHAPEY - Ronald of Plainview, New York and Boynton Beach, Florida died suddenly Thursday, a huge loss to all those who knew him. Beloved husband of Florence Shapey. Loving father of Michael Shapey, Elysa Garyn, and Suzy Shapey-Bluestein and her husband Keith. Also a horribly disappointing loss to his loving grandchildren, Erica and Allison Shapey, Lindsey and Bradley Garyn and Samantha and Jackson Bluestein. He was a wonderful younger brother to sisters Bea Goldman and Laura Lopyan. Ronald died suddenly after battling and overcoming an immobilizing spinal cord injury from a tragic car accident one year ago. He started walking again three months ago . . . As a first generation American, he lived a wonderful and happy life, as he called it "Living The American Dream." Ronald will be missed dearly. We love you and our words can never express how sad we are and how much we will miss you Daddy - Rest Peacefully with Mommy. Your lovingFamily. The Funeral will be held on Tuesday at 11:00am at Gutterman's in Woodbury, New York. Burial, Beth David Cemetery, Elmont, NY. Shiva Tuesday & Wednesday at Elysa's house; Thursday and Friday at Suzy's house.
