BELJEAN - Sam H., peacefully on July 4, surrounded by his family. Devoted husband of the late Betty. Proud and loving father of John, brother-in-law of Mary H. Tupper and cherished uncle. Former resident of Jackson Heights and long time resident of Pt. Washington. Life long Met fan and member of the "R.O.M.E.O. club". Retired Met Life employee from NYC. Honorably discharged Army Air Force WWII Veteran and dedicated volunteer at St. Francis hospital for over 20 years. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Make-a Wish Foundation. Viewing at the Roslyn Heights Funeral Home, 75 Mineola Ave., Roslyn Heights, NY Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Services 9:30am Wednesday at chapel. Interment to follow Mt. Olivet Cemetery, Maspeth, NY.

Dear John, I'm sorry about the loss of your Dad. I read the notice in St. Peter's bulletin yesterday. I would have been there for you and your family if I knew sooner. Sam was a great guy. I worked with him at SFH, and saw in church. He's one of the good guys you can't forget. As you know I was very fond of our father and Mom. Now they are together eternally.
