I knew your mother in the early 1960's when we traveled to NYC together on the bus and subway; she was going to work and I was going to law school. We had many interesting conversations because she was a very smart and interesting person. When I met my wife Lois, she and I had someone in common -Stephanie. Stephanie was in our wedding party when Lois and I married in 1963 and we were good friends and visited each other often until approximately 1977 when we kind of drifted apart. As Lois and I approach our 50th wedding anniversary we thought about Stephanie and how nice it would be to see her again. You can imagine our shock to find out that she passed away. Stephanie was truly a wonderful person; moral, giving, serious and caring. Stephaie was truly one of nature's nobel ladies. May God wrap her in His arms and give her peace forever.

At this morning's Shabbat service in our synagogue in Netanya, Israel, Alan read the haftorah (a public reading from prophets or the bible). Before saying the blessings that precede the reading, he made a public announcement that he was dedicating this reading (an honor in itself) to the memory of our dear friend Stephanie whose funeral was today. So now her name has been heard in Israel as well. We are so sorry that we could not be with you for a last goodbye to our dear friend of 46 years. We are heartbroken for you and for us as well. Love, Marsha & Alan Stein (in Netanya, Israel)
