Robert, her beloved husband of 62 years. Loving mother of Mary Ellen Donnelly (Mark Elmendorf) and Jean Treacy
(Michael). Cherished grandmother of Kyle, Kyra, Shannon,
Brendan, Erin, Keefe, and Miranda. Proud graduate of Dominican Commercial High School in Queens, NY. Mrs. Donnelly worked as a secretary for New York City. In 1954, Mrs. Donnelly met her beloved Robert at the New York City St. Patrick's Day Parade, a true Irish love story. Her positivity, joy, strength, and love of life touched everyone she knew. She will be greatly missed. Visitation, Friday, 4 to 8 PM, at M.A. Connell Funeral Home, 934 New York Avenue, Huntington Station. Funeral Mass, Saturday, 9:15 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Huntington. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Huntington. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to: St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, stjude.org

I am so saddened reading this. She was my godmother and my mother´s best friend from Dominican Commercial. We had been in touch these past few years since my mom Mary passed. I have been trying to reach her recently. She was a beautiful person and I have many memories of her and my mom that they told me about.
Bob was my godfather, she loved him so. I´m sure she is at peace now with him.
I will always remember her. xo
