JORDAN - Thomas Joseph, Jr., of Brightwaters, LI on November 13, 2018 at 85 years of age. Beloved husband of 55 years to Mary Jane (Marie) White. Devoted father of Thomas III & Patricia (Parkinson), Patrick & Su (Sprague), Marijane & Michael Voltz, Sean & Danielle (Doyle), Brendan and Richard. Cherished grandfather of Bridget, Jane, Anne, Thomas IV, Aidan, Julia, Kayla & Declan Jordan, & Michael, John (Jack), Maeve Voltz. Proud brother of Edward & Patricia Jordan, Kathleen & Max Dobhan, and Bobby and Marie Grimes. Proud brother in law to Richard & Patricia White, and Margaret & Edward Mansfield. Dear uncle to many nieces and nephews. Tom was preceded in death by his Parents, Thomas Sr. & Mary Jordan, his siblings and their spouses, Robert & Eileen Jordan, Maureen & George Doherty, Noreen & Richard Jones. Tom was a public school teacher at Bayport-Blue Point H.S. and also taught Accounting at SUNY Farmingdale, and Malloy College. Tom was a member of the American Legion Post 365, Suffolk County Aide to the Grand Marshal of the 249th St. Patrick's Day Parade in NYC, past president of AOH Suffolk County Board, officer on the Suffolk County Board, AOH, president of AOH Division 1 and a member of the Hibernian Festival Singers. He was named the 2012 Suffolk County Hibernian Man of the Year. Reposing at The Fredrick J. Chapey & Sons West Islip Funeral Home, 1225 Montauk Hwy. (1-4 mile west of the Robert Moses Cswy.) A Celebration of the Liturgy of Christian Burial Saturday 11:30 AM at St. Patrick's Church, Bay Shore, LI. Interment to follow at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Bay Shore, LI.
