Vincent Campbell

CAMPBELL - Vincent Thomas Sr., 84, passed away suddenly after a short battle with COVID-19. He was the widower of Rose Campbell. They shared 49 years of marriage together. Born in New York, he was the son of Frank and Josephine Campbell, and predeceased by his brother Kevin Campbell. He was a sailor in the United States Navy before becoming a bus driver and mechanic for the MTA. He then became a custodian for the New Hyde Park-Garden City Park School District before enjoying retired life. He will be remembered for his hearty laughter, quick witted sense of humor, and kind heart. He is survived by his children, Karen Campbell, Vincent Campbell Jr., and Joanne Lynch. Vincent had four grandchildren: Erica Ulsheimer, Nicole Hughes, Brianne Campbell, and Crystal Campbell. Vincent is also survived by seven great-grandchildren: Madison, Mason, Mackenzie, and Morgan Ulsheimer; Emilia and Liam Hughes; and Castiel Gomez. The viewing will be held on Sunday, April 11, from 12-3 PM at Thomas F. Dalton Funeral Home, 125 Hillside Avenue, New Hyde Park.
