Gloria J. Barrows, 87, of Connersville, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Hickory Creek nursing home in Connersville.
She was born on February 3, 1938, in Winn Cave, Kentucky, one of eight children of Hiram and Annas Isaacs Spivey.
On June 3, 1955, Gloria married Leonard C. "Pete" Barrows in Calvary Baptist Church. Mr. Barrows passed away on June 30, 2023.
Gloria was a beautician for twenty years, working at her home salon and she was also a Real Estate Agent for twenty years for Mike Morgan and Associates.
She was a Charter Member of Connersville Baptist Temple and in her leisure, time enjoyed painting.
Survivors include her daughter, Kim (Gayle) Golden of Connersville; granddaughters, Sara (Bob) Parsons, Katelyn Marcum, all of Connersville, and Lindsay Brown of Richmond; grandson, Austin (Autumn) Brown of Barstow, Virginia; great-grandchildren, Saige French, Kaeson French, Drayden Parsons, Gavin Brown, and Azari Brown; several nieces and nephews.
Gloria was preceded in death by her husband of 68 years, Pete Barrows; her parents; five sisters, Frieda Garrison, Gene Poore, Wanda Sherwood, Evelyn Bower and Geraldine Gabbard; two brothers, John Spivey and Arlie Spivey; and a great-grandson, Landon Parsons.
Family and friends may visit from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at 1:00 p.m. on Friday November 7, 2025 at Miller, Moster, Robbins Funeral Home. Pastor Joe Ferreira will officiate. Burial will follow in Dale Cemetery.
