1932 – 2010
Mrs. Doris G. Williams, 77, of Callaway, Fla. passed away on Sunday, June 13, 2010, at her home. She was born in Ryceville, Md. on Nov. 20, 1932, and had lived in Bay County since December, 1980, moving here from Albany, Ga. She was a retired secretary from the State of Florida's HRS and was Catholic by faith. Doris was truly a very loving and caring wife, mother and grandmother who will be greatly missed by everyone. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Benny F. Williams of Callaway; three daughters and their families: Katherine Garlotte of Vancleave, Miss. and her sons: Keith Hamsley and (Stacie) of Leesburg, Ga and Joseph Garlotte of Vancleave, Miss; Patricia Janecek and husband Doug; their children, Chris Janecek (Mandy), Sara Staton (John) and Andy Janecek all of Tallahassee, Fla; Theresa Lytle and husband Jay; their daughter Lindsey Lytle of Sahuarita, Ariz; two grandsons, John E. Townsend III and Tyler Townsend of Panama City; five great-grandchildren: Emma Hamsley, Ella Hamsley, Christin Janecek and twins, Jorja Staton and Joni Staton. Surviving also are her mother, Bessie Graves of LaPlate, Md.; three sisters, Mary Still of Newburg, Md., Patsy Lorence of Hollywood, Md., and Sandra Lawson (Richard) of Herndon, Va. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Deborah Townsend Beechem; her father, Edwin Graves; a sister, Lorraine Milbrook; and four brothers, Alvin Graves, John E. Graves, Vernon Graves and James Graves all of Maryland. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 15, 2010, at 11:00 a.m. in the Heritage Funeral Home Chapel with Father Ben Klucinec officiating. Interment will follow in Evergreen Memorial Gardens Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until service time at 11:00 a.m. at Heritage Funeral Home. The family appreciates the wonderful care and compassion given by Covenant Hospice, 107 W. 19th St., Panama City, FL, 32405 throughout her illness.
