Edward Nichols Obituary
Ed was a former city councilman and mayor of Acworth, Ga. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp during World War II. Ed retired from Lockheed Aircraft after 38 years of service.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Ruth Nichols; a son, Ron Nichols (Karen); a sister, Anne Blocker (Billy); grandchildren, Michelle Nichols and Matthew Nichols (Ashley); and great-grandchildren, Edward and Kathryn Nichols.
A celebration of life will be held at Kent Forest Lawn Funeral Home from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 21, 2010. A graveside service will be held at Cherokee Memorial Gardens in Canton, Ga., at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Covenant Hospice, 107 West 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405.
