Glynda Williams-Walker Obituary

Glynda Williams-Walker, 60, of Lubbock, Texas, passed Monday, March 29, 2010, at UMC.

She was born Nov. 27, 1949, in Panama City, Fla., to Vernell Tubbs Hickson and Charlie Griffin. She attended school in Bay County, Fla. She enjoyed life and encompassed a multitude of talent. Some of these talents included gourmet cooking, arts and crafts, gardening, sewing, interior decorating, painting, shopping and passing these talents along to her children and grandchildren.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories her husband, Lewis Walker; four children, Victor Williams, Monique William-Smith, Terrance Williams (Valerie) and Zachary Williams; former husband, Clarence Williams (Wanda); 12 grandchildren; one great-grandson; four sisters, Gilda Willis (Kenneth), Libby Lee, Lisa Lash (Edgar) and Tyra Ward (Toney); one brother, Drexal Robinson (Nyoka); three uncles, Levester Tubbs (Pam), Reginald Tubbs and Gregory Tubbs; one aunt, Rossie Whitfield; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 7, 2010, at Holy Temple C.O.G.I.C, 802 E. Eighth Court, Panama City, Fla., with Supt. W.L. Griffin officiating. Interment will be at Garden of Memories Cemetery under the direction of Griffin Mortuary. Visitations will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Battle Memorial Funeral Home.

My heart felt condolences to my family,Gilda, Libby ,Lisa, Tara,Greg,Reg,Levester, and all my neices and nephews. Our hearts are heavy with the loss of our sister and mother, but she is at a peaceful rest.Let us reflect on all the good and not so good times that we had with Glynda,and remember the heart that she had for every one that had the chance too know her.She has left our presents but not our hearts.Love you all , Ken,and Quillar (P.S. Not able to be with you , work Load on job.)
