Jacqueline DeLoach Obituary

Jacqueline (Jackie) DeLoach was born Feb. 12, 1964, at home in Panama City, Fla. to the late George Lee Collins and the late Agnes Elease Collins. Jackie was a homemaker after recently retiring from Bay Medical Center for health reasons. On Aug. 6, 2009 at approximately 5 a.m. God, in His most infinite wisdom, called her home.

On Aug. 27, 1992, she united in marriage to Jeffrey DeLoach. She was a member of Zion Hope Baptist Church in Panama City, Fla.. Jackie loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. She loved family gatherings and her quick laughter was a welcomed addition to all events. She enjoyed singing in the choir and listening to gospel music. Jackie and her husband Jeff spent lots of time on the road fulfilling the urge to 'just get away' together.

Jackie was preceded in death by three siblings: Annie P. Reynolds, Angela Woodfaulk, George Collins, Jr. and a nephew, William Reynolds Collins. She leaves to cherish her memories, a devoted husband, Jeffrey 'J.D.'; a son, Nicholas (Angela) Harris; a daughter, Santisca Harris (Special Friend, Derek Parker) both of Panama City, Fla.; two step-sons, Chris Spires and Algernon DeLoach of Panama City, Fla.; four grandchildren, Derek and D'Mya Parker, Gabriella Green and Christyna Spires; four sisters, Sharolyn Gaines (Special Friend, Lee Nobles) of Panama City, Fla., Cethellu Weatherly, New Bern, NC, Minnie Murl Gray (Willie) of Tampa, Fla., Pearlie Taylor of Memphis, Tenn.; six brothers, Otis (Angela) Collins of Ft. Mead, MD, Clarence (Corene) Collins and Gregory (Polly) Collins of Panama City, Fla., Willie Paul (Evelyn) Hill of Bushnell, Fla., Lorenzo Brooks of Tallahassee, Fla., Roger Collins of Jacksonville, Fla.; six aunts, Rosetta (Uncle Jesse) Barge, Myrtle Gaines, Shirley (Uncle Jimmy) Harris of Panama City, Fla., Mildred (Al) Edwards of Atmore, Ala., Vivian (Don) Brown of Brewton, Ala., Evelyn (Jake) Clarke of
Geneva, NY; two uncles, L.C. Gaines of San Jose, CA and Tony Gaines of Jacksonville, Fla.; five brothers-in-law, Gregory Woodfaulk, Gregory (Monica) DeLoach, Anthony (Linda) DeLoach and George DeLoach of Panama City, Fla., Chester Reynolds of Tampa, Fla.; two sisters-in-law, Elisa (Terrance) Russ of Panama City, Fla. and Jessie Star of West Palm Beach, Fla.; three great-aunts; four great-uncles and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, other loving relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Mrs. DeLoach will be held on Saturday, Aug. 15, 2009, at 12 o'clock noon at the Greater Bethel A.M.E. Church with the Rev. Lawrence Gantt, Pastor and the Rev. Felix Long, Jr., officiating. Interment will follow in the Hillside Cemetery. Public visitation will begin today from 1-8 p.m. at the funeral home. The body will lie in state one hour prior to funeral services at the church.

Jeff and Family,

Jackie was certainly one of a kind.
So unique in everything she did, and what she was. The years we worked together we became wonderful friends.
Jackie will never be forgotten by anyone who knew and loved her. She certainly was a pleasure to know.
I was one of the lucky ones who knew Jackie, and we were sisters we decided, best buds, whatever you want to call us. All through out the years we worked together, you rarely seen Jackie without Darnell, or Darnell without Jackie.
Jackie, I will forever carry you in my heart, I always have, and you are one in a Million Girlfriend :)
I Love You ! Darnell
