Michael Ast Obituary
Mike was born Nov. 4, 1965, in Toronto, Canada, a son of Maureen Patton Ast and the late Gary Ast. Mike was a commercial fisherman and a business owner. He loved the outdoors and was an avid fisherman, reader and carpenter.
He dearly loved his family and they remember him as always having a good sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife of 18 years, Miriam Dukes Ast of Panama City, Fla.; two daughters, Kristina Ast and Kayla Ast, both of Panama City, Fla.; mother, Maureen Patton Ast of Collingwood, Ontario, Canada; one brother, David Ast of Toronto, Canada; two nephews, William and Daniel Ast of Toronto, Canada; and paternal grandmother, Ella Bellaire of Sarnia, Canada.
The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sunday, April 6, 2008, at Kent-Forest Lawn Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, April 7, 2008, in the chapel of Kent-Forest Lawn with the Rev. Jerry Moore officiating.
