Pat Peters Obituary

Pat Peters, youthful at 85, was a very special someone, a truly rare human being of Panama City, Fla., and formerly of Minnesota and Royston Herts, England. She passed away Sunday, April 19, 2009, at North East Georgia Medical Center, Ga.

Pat "Mumsy" was a proprietor with daughter Valerie (Lovie) of the Olde English Pub, Lynn Haven, now the Yacht Club. Pat organized for several years free annual Christmas parties for senior citizens.

Pat cooked, knitted gloves, scarves and socks so everyone there received good food and Christmas presents. She helped lead Lady Godiva and her white horse in the Lynn Haven July 4 parade to garner donations for this worthy cause, so the seniors could have a wonderful time, and so they did.

Pat often talked fondly about her deceased patrons, Chief Roy, Stump, Bernice, Ford and many others whom she will see again along with her beloved husband, Pete Peters, of Minnesota; son, Tony Graham of Panama City; and baby, Anthony Graham of England.

Her bingo friends will miss Pat as well as other friends; she loved to bake them homemade bread rolls, meat pasties and sausage rolls.

Mum, for the blessings you brought to the lives that you have touched, this comes to tell you you are loved very much and we will miss you. From your loving family, daughters Valerie Farish and husband, Len, of Panama City Beach; Anita Samson and husband, Sam, of Lynn Haven; very special stepdaughter, Penny Russell of New Hamshire; sons, Buster Graham and wife, Josie, of Hudson, Wisconsin; Gary Peters and wife, Roxanne, of Braselton, Ga., Steven Peters and wife, Ronda, of Panama City; stepson, Leigh Peters of York, Maine. Pat was blessed with 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial graveside service with Father Petrich officiating will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, May 11, 2009, at Calvary Cemetery, Duluth, Minn. At Pat's request, her ashes, along with son Tony's ashes, will be buried with her beloved husband so they can finally be together.

Expressions of sympathy may be submitted to Valerie Farish, 9900 Thomas Drive. No. 410, Panama City Beach, FL 32408.
