Royce Mahavier
Royce Mahavier, 87, a resident of Niceville, FL passed away at his home on Wednesday, February 10, 2021 after a long illness surrounded by his loved ones. He was a long time resident of Bay County for 43 years and a successful business owner in historic downtown Panama City for 35 years. Prior to moving to Florida, he attended school and college in Oklahoma and was an accomplished athlete. Royce proudly served in the US Army and the Oklahoma National Guard. He was a faithful Mason and Shriner for over 50 years.
Royce was preceded in death by his parents, stepfather, and two sisters. He is survived by his loving family, wife of 54 years, Lynda, daughter Erin, son-in-law Christopher Hansen, and two grandchildren Elizabeth and Evan. He was of the Christian faith and attended First Baptist Church of Panama City for many years.
The family wishes to express appreciation and gratitude to Vitas Hospice Care for the wonderful, loving care they gave Royce during the most difficult times.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
