Shirley Sitte Obituary

Shirley Ann Margaret (Henry) Sitte, age 82, of Southport, went to be with the Lord on September 6, 2017.

She was born in Fish Creek, Wisconsin, on December 23, 1934 to the late John and Margaret (Robetoy) Henry. On November 2, 1970, she moved to Southport, FL with her family. Although she was a stay at home mom, she worked many hours alongside her husband Donald and sons Dave and Carey to build a successful roofing company. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend to many. She had an infectious smile and always looked for the good in people. She enjoyed cooking, baking, gardening and caring for her family; which she believed was her greatest accomplishment. Also, she enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren. She would take them for walks in the woods where she would tell them stories, have tea parties and picnics. She was a member of the Lynn Haven Garden Club, Panama City Moose Lodge and Messiah Lutheran Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 52 years, Donald; sister, Janie Tanck of Appleton, WI; brothers, Bobby Henry of Menominee, MI, Thomas Henry and Dennis Henry both of Sturgeon Bay, WI; brother-in-law William "Bill" Kiehnau of Sturgeon Bay, WI; sister-in-law Lavern Henry of Menominee, WI and granddaughter Jenna Ashlyn Plummer of Lynn Haven, FL.

She is survived by her sister Elizabeth Kiehnau of Sturgeon Bay, WI; brothers Jerry Henry (Mary) of Armstrong Creek, WI and Danny Henry of Menasha, WI; sisters-in-law Cathy Henry and Sally Henry both of Sturgeon Bay, WI; children Dave Sitte (Dory), Billy Sitte, Carey Sitte (Cathy) and Jodi Plummer; grandchildren Cory Proctor (Jamie), Chelse Dorman (Jason), Chaz Sitte (Nycole), Will Sitte (Allison), Justin Fuente and Rachel Plummer; great grandchildren Devin Guy, Drew Guy, Luke Guy, Dalton Dorman, Chaz "CJ" Sitte, Kaylin Dorman and Adelyn Proctor.

A memorial service will take place at 4:00 PM on Sunday, October 1, 2017 at Messiah Lutheran Church on Highway 390 with Pastor Tom Holdcraft officiating. Reception will follow in the Fellowship Hall.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Shirley's name, may be made to Covenant Hospice, 107 W. 19th Street, Panama City, FL 32405 or Messiah Lutheran Church, 3701 Highway 390, Panama City, FL 32405.

To the Sitte family: With our deepest sympathy for your loss. Florence & Jim Fortier.

October 1, 2017

My deepest sympathy to the Sitte family. Our Aunt Shirley was a beautiful person, inside and out, and it was always wonderful to talk with her on her visits to Door County. To our cousins Billy, Davey, Carey and Jodi, we are thinking of you. Linda & Sandy (Kiehnau). Also, Mom (sister Betty) has you all in her prayers.
