Thomas Yawn Obituary
Thomas Avery Yawn, 70, of Panama City, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 21, 2013.
He was born March 28, 1943, in Baxley, Ga.
Thomas retired from the United States Air Force after 26 years of service, where he went on to work for the Bay District School System, retiring after 13 years.
He is survived by his wife, Virginia Yawn; son, Jeffrey Yawn (fiancé, Courtney); daughter, Melissa Gaddy (Corey); grandson, Collin Gaddy; granddaughter, Kenadie Gaddy, all of Panama City; two sisters, Joyce Davis (Wendell) of Brunswick, Ga., and Wilma Fletcher (Bob) of Clearwater, Fla.; brother, Dave Yawn (Nellie) of Baxley, Ga; mother-in-law, Margaret Wallis of Chicago, Ill.; and nine nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be at 3 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 24, 2013, at Eastside Assembly of God, 3610 E. 14th St., Panama City, Fla., with the Rev. Terry Segers officiating. The family will receive friends 1-3 p.m. before the service. Those wishing to extend a word of condolence may do so at www.heritagefhllc.com.
