Adeline Tloczynski

MOUNT CARMEL - Adeline Tloczynski, 89, of 351 S. Willow St., Mount Carmel, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, April 26, 2018.

She was born June 30, 1928, in Atlas, a daughter of the late Basilio and Catherine (Posatta) Deromedi. She lived in Atlas until 2009 when she moved to Willow Court Apartments, Mount Carmel.

Adeline was married Oct. 15, 1949, in St. Peter's Church, Mount Carmel, to the late Walter Tloczynski Jr., who preceded her in death on Oct. 10, 2012. She was a former member of St. Paul's Chapel in Atlas, and after the churches consolidated, she was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church.

She was employed at General Cigar Factory and the Arrow Shirt Co. and was a member of the Mount Carmel Senior Action Center.

Adeline loved playing cards, bingo and going to the casinos. She spent her days reading, doing puzzles and playing cards and bingo with her friends at Willow Court Apartments. She was a diehard Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies fan, rooting for them even if they were losing. Her wish came true as she watched the Philadelphia Eagles win the Super Bowl this year. Tuesday nights were "family night," going to bingo with Kathy, Bob and Nancy at Holy Angels Bingo Hall in Kulpmont. Adeline always had a "positive attitude" about life. She always started her day by praying for her family and friends. She was devoted to the Blessed Mother and prayed the rosary every day.

Adeline loved her husband, Walter, unconditionally and always wore the Miraculous Medal necklace he gave her when they were dating. They were married for 62 years and were the best role models we could have ever been blessed with. She was devoted to her daughters, Kathleen and Nancy, son-in-law, Robert; grandsons, Keith, Edwin and Brian; great-grandsons, Colin and Robert.

Adeline always received so many compliments on how beautiful her hair was and how nice she always dressed.

Kind, caring, thoughtful and a "very sweet lady" is what she was to everyone. She was the best mom God could have blessed us with. Rest in peace Mom. We will miss you very much but we know you will still be looking down and watching over us. Dad has been waiting for you with open arms for a very long time. You will be together now for all eternity.

Adeline is survived by her daughters, Kathleen Wesloskie and her husband, Robert, of Aristes, and Nancy Ososkie, of Mount Carmel; grandsons, Keith Wesloskie and his wife, Shauna, of Copperas Cove, Texas; Edwin Ososkie Jr. and his wife, Jill, of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Brian Ososkie of Windermere, Florida; great-grandsons, Colin and Robert Ososkie of Jacksonville, North Carolina; as well as many nieces and nephews and their families, whom she loved dearly.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 10 siblings, Mary Cavacini, Louis Deromedi, Vera Mazur, Edward Deromedi, Alma Deromedi, who passed away in 1914, Kathryn Victor, Benjamin Deromedi, Alma Deromedi, who passed away in 1919, and Reno Deromedi and Lillian Bedford Driza; sister-in-law Pauline Rodavitch; and son-in- law, Edwin Ososkie Sr. She was the last member of her immediate family.

 

 

TLOCZYNSKI -- Adeline Tloczynski, of 351 S. Willow St., Mount Carmel. A funeral Mass will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, in Church of Our Lady of Mount Carmel, 47 S. Market St., with the Rev.Father Francis Karwacki as celebrant. Burial will be in All Saints Cemetery, Elysburg. Viewing will be held 9 to10:45 a.m., with vigil prayers at 9:30 a.m. Saturday, at the C.J. Lucas Funeral Home Inc., 27 N.  Vine St., Mount Carmel. C.J. Lucas IV, supervisor.
