MILTON - Elizabeth I. Zerbe 91, of Shakespeare Ave., Milton went home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2024, at her home. Born in Milton on April 23, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Emerson and Clara (Zimmerman) Moser. She was married on January 14, 1949, to Paul C. Zerbe, who preceded her in death on March 15, 2013.
Elizabeth attended Milton Schools and she worked American Home Foods in Milton, Sylvania in Montoursville, Montgomery Mills, and Buffalo Valley Lutheran Village in Lewisburg. She was a member of St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Milton, where she was a former Sunday School director and teacher, choir member, on the food committee and the board of trustees. She helped with vacation bible school, the Good News Club and she was part of the Jolly Girls Sunday School. She liked doing puzzles, crosswords, and playing cards. Her house was always open for family gatherings that she loved. Elizabeth was a Penn State football fan.
She is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, Steven and Nancy Zerbe, Andrew and Lori Zerbe, and Jamie and Roxane Zerbe, all of Milton; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tammy and Allen Hile of Milton and Paula and Joseph Merwin of Montandon; a sister, Florence Young of Allentown; 21 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
Elizabeth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a granddaughter, Megan Zerbe; two brothers, Robert Moser, and Donald Moser; and a sister, Doris Erdley.
Friends and relatives will be received on Thursday, January 25, from 12-1 p.m. at St. Andrews United Methodist Church ,102 L. Market St., Milton. Where the funeral will be held on 1 p.m. with the Rev. Dr. Michael Stine officiating. Burial will follow in Harmony Cemetery, Milton.
