TREVORTON - Janet May (Gilchrist) Klock, 85, of Trevorton, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 4, 2025, at her residence. Janet was the widow of Robert "Bob" Klock who passed in 2011.
She was born in Trevorton, May 15, 1939, a daughter of the late James and Edith (Hummel) Gilchrist.
She was a 1957 graduate of Trevorton High School.
She and dedicated her life to her family and community.
Janet's faith was an important part of her life and she was a faithful member of Zion Lutheran Church. She also enjoyed being part of the Scotty Trailer Club, TOPS and Trevorton Senior Action where she made lasting friendships.
Janet loved crocheting, sewing and cheering on her favorite sports teams, the Eagles and Phillies. She also found happiness in camping, traveling and spending time at the family's hunting cabin where she made wonderful memories with loved ones.
Janet will be lovingly remembered by her daughter, Sharon Strayer (Gary), of Harleysville; her son, Rob Klock (Karen), of Hummelstown; grandchildren, Tess (Lewis) and Rachael Strayer, Trey (Julia) and Tommy Klock; and a cherished great-granddaughter, Naomi Klock.
She was preceded in death by her son, Kevin Klock; a grandson, Kyle Klock; a brother, James Gilchrist Jr., and a sister, Margaret John.
KLOCK - Janet May (Gilchrist) Klock, 85, of Trevorton. Funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family at a later date. Arrangements have been entrusted to Foust Funeral Home LLC, Trevorton, Ryan G. Foust, supervisor. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Janet's memory to the Zerbe Township Recreation Committee c/o Deb Hetzendorf, 425 Scott St. Trevorton 17881.
