MOUNT CARMEL â€" Jeanne Bergal, 80, of Mount Carmel, passed away Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Marion Heights Feb.16,1937, she was a daughter of the late Steve and Anna (Zvonchek) Ardan. She was an active member of St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Mount Carmel, where she was known for her work and dedication to church functions, especially making pierogies. She worked at Arcos Industries until retirement.
She attended Kulpmont High School.
She was an avid Los Angeles Dodgers Fan and Washington Redskins fan; She was an avid Philadelphia Eagles and Phillies hater. She loved spending time arguing with her best friends Nancy and Bill Joraskie.
Surviving are a daughter and son, Deborah Haile, of Columbia, Maryland, and Thomas, husband of Lee Ann Bergal, of Barnstable, Massachusetts; five grandchildren, Colton, Keaton, Bryson, Michele and Kelly; and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Bergal, who died in 2003, who was her lifetime sweetheart and favorite “Pollack;� six brothers and three sisters, Joseph, John, Stephen, Frank, Michael, Julius, Margaret, Anna and Evelyn.
BERGAL â€" Jeanne Bergal, 80, of Mount Carmel. Services will be held in St. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, Mount Carmel. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Wednesday, the Rev. Michael Hustko officiating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph’s Cemetery in Mount Carmel Township.
