John Mohan Obituary
HANOVER - John A. "Jack" Mohan, of Hanover, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 10, 2024, at the age of 60. He was the dear brother of Francis Mohan and his wife, Stella, Joseph Mohan, Anne Mohan, Mary Ellen Paul and her husband, John, and Margaret Kaufmann and her husband, Dave. He was preceded in death by his parents, Francis P. and Anna G. (Chapman) Mohan.
Jack was a remarkable man. He was honored to be of Irish heritage. Jack was rightfully proud of his Centralia roots. He embodied Coal Region strength and his resilient spirit through all his lifelong medical trials. Jack approached every physical difficulty imposed by his illness with great dignity, positivity, and optimism. He never complained when physical suffering occurred. He always maintained his quick wit and great sense of humor. It was amazing to witness his endless courage. He was proud of his education at Our Lady of Lourdes as well as his graduation from Misericordia University. He enjoyed his career as a pharmacy tech as well as a childcare provider. With a tremendous faith in God, instilled by his mom and dad, he could always be found with a smile on his face and love in his heart. And more times than not, a very funny wisecrack. He loved spending time with his sister's dog Roxie as well as his time gaming and digitally communicating with a large group, all the while keeping up with his Yankees and the Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
MOHAN - John A. "Jack" Mohan, 60, of Hanover. Relatives and friends are invited to Jack's Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30 a.m. today at Sacred Heart Basilica, 30 Basilica Drive, Hanover. The family will receive guests from 10 to 10:30 a.m. at church, prior to Mass. Interment will be held at Conewago Chapel Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, a donation in Jack's memory to Camilla Hall, the Convent Home and Healthcare Center of the Sisters, Servants of the Immaculate Heart of Mary, 100 Maxis Drive, Malvern, PA 19355, or online at www.ihmimmaculata.org. My dear next-door neighbor growing up in Centralia! He was such an inspiration because of his optimistic personality. He also had a wonderful sense of humor and his posts on FB always brightened my day! I will miss him.
