Joseph Cesari Obituary
He was born Nov. 4, 1935, at the Ashland State General Hospital, a son of the late Joseph and Mildred (Altmire) Cesari.
He attended school in Kulpmont for 11 years, then obtained his GED from Mount Carmel High School.
Joseph served in the U.S. Army from 1958 to 1960.
On May 16, 1964, at the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, with services performed by the Rev. Paul Adair, he married Concetta Nestico, who survives.
Joseph was a member of Holy Angels Parish, Kulpmont. He loved spending time with his grandchildren, which was his greatest pleasure. Gardening, painting, hunting and going to the casino were his other pleasures.
In addition to his wife, Concetta, he is survived by two sons, Joseph Cesari and his wife, Theresa, of Palmyra, and Michael Cesari, of Sweet Valley; two daughters, Maria Sawyer and her husband, Michael, of Ranshaw, and Francine Schertzer and her husband, Greg, of Hummelstown; five grandchildren, Christin and Nicholas Cesari, Tony and Vincent Sawyer and Lucia Schertzer, and a brother, Carmen Cesari and his wife, Judy, of Trevorton.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
