Theresa M. Zelinski

SHAMOKIN — Theresa M. Zelinski, 80, of 925 E. Chestnut St., and formerly of 1514 Pulaski Ave., Shamokin, died at 4:20 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at Mountain View: A Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Coal Township.

She lived at her present address for two years.

Born in Shamokin May 27, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Alice (Sosnoski) Kaleta.

She attended St. Stanislaus School, Shamokin, and was a lifelong resident of Shamokin.

Teresa was married July 7, 1948, by the Rev. Jerome Holobowicz, to Joseph W. Zelinski, who preceded her in death May 15, 2002.

She was employed as a trimmer at the Arrow Shirt Factory, Lady Hope and Hillside, from which she retired.

She was a member of Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin.

Surviving are three children, Janet and her husband, Adam Mathews, of Sunbury, Richard and his wife, Annmarie Zelinski, of Shamokin, and Sharon and her husband, Al Katalinas, of Shamokin; six grandchildren, Corey Mathews, Justin Mathews, Jessica Zelinski, Austin Zelinski, Megan Fryberger and Vanessa Katalinas; six great-grandchildren, Derek Mathews, Natalie Mathews, Faith Seedor, Blake Fryberger, Kylie Fryberge and Marc Fryberger, and a sister, Rita and her husband, Kenneth Gurba, of Paxinos.

ZELINSKI — Theresa M. Zelinski, 80, of 925 E. Chestnut St., and formerly of 1514 Pulaski Ave., Shamokin. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 12:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22 in Mother Cabrini Church, 214 N. Shamokin St., Shamokin. Visitation will be held at the Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home, Ltd., 120 S. Market St., Shamokin, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday with the Christian Vigil Service at 7 p.m. Relatives and friends attending the Mass of Christian Burial are asked to meet at 12:15 p.m. Monday at Mother Cabrini Church. Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
