Mr. Daniel Eugene Fridley

Age: 51 • Craigsville

     Daniel "Danny" Eugene Fridley, 51, of West Augusta, Virginia died Monday, November 7, 2016 in Craigsville, Virginia. 

     He was born October 15, 1965 in Staunton, the step-son of the late Franklin Edward Woods and son of Martha Lorraine Jackson Forbes.

     Danny was employed as a foreman and top climber for Pittman Tree and Landscaping.

     He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather.  He enjoyed hunting and camping, as well as spending time with his family.

     Danny is survived by his wife, Margaret Ann Sprouse Fridley of 871 Braley Pond Road, West Augusta, Virginia 24485; children: Rebecca Fay Knight & fiancé Casey Shinnaberry of Craigsville, Marvin Junior Knight III & wife Kristy of Churchville, Brandon Michael Knight & fiancé Laura Clifton of Augusta Springs, Miranda Dawn Tittle & husband Tommy Tittle of Bristol; grandchildren: Chadwick Marcus Woods, Courtney Renee Woods, Jadynn Nicole Hubbard, and a special grandson: Nicholas Daniel Woods, all of Craigsville; step-grandchildren: Ashley Nichole Montgomery, and Kelli Montgomery; brothers; Bruce Woods & special friend Tammy Woods, Ira Fridley & wife Melissa, Mark Woods; sisters: Linda Jackson, Brenda Bishop; several aunts and uncles; numerous nieces and nephews; special friends: Elizabeth Altizer and Ronald "Chief" Altizer; and a special pet: Lacey.

     He was preceded in death by a brother, Oscar Woods.

     A graveside funeral service will be conducted at 3:00 p.m., Thursday, November 10, 2016 at Craigsville Community Cemetery with Pastor Tom Quick officiating.

     The family will receive friends 6 - 8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at Craigsville Funeral Home.
