George Coffey Obituary
Greenville - George F. Coffey, 78, of Greenville passed away peacefully at his home on July 30, 2018. He is a graduate of Spottswood High School and then began his career as a Class A Contractor. He traveled and sang bass for 37 years with the Good News Gospel Quartet. He then found great pleasure in listening to his son sing with The Crestmen.
He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Addie Laura Harris Coffey; two daughters and sons-in-law, Patty and Larry Lotts and Pamela and Stephen Ladue; a son and daughter-in-law, George F., II and Gina Coffey; three grandchildren, Katie, Kelly and Trey Coffey; a sister, Adis Fultz; and nephews, Danny and Curtis Fultz.
He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Yoast Coffey; his mother, Maggie Wilson Coffey; and sisters, Ester Demastus and Vera Eakin.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday, August 2, 2018 in the Henry Funeral Home Chapel by Pastor David Ball and the Rev. John Sullivan. Burial will follow in Mt. Carmel Presbyterian Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Joe Fauber, Ray Kimble, Kevin Rexrode, Rick Hall, Dakota Tomlin, and Jeff Patterson.
Honorary pallbearers will be Jerry Clark, Curtis Riley, Cecil McGee, Danny Fultz, Curtis Fultz, Doug Harris, and Larry Carver.
The family will receive friends from 6 until 8 p.m. Wednesday, August 1, 2018 in the funeral home.

Addie, just now seeing the obituary. Very sorry for the loss. Dad (Tully) passed 10/31/17; our visit with you and George meant a lot to us a couple years prior. I hope you are well. Don't know if you still live in the same house. My son Jason and I are planning to make another trip down that way next month. It would be great to see you.
