Aaron Reese Obituary

It is with deep sadness we announce that Aaron Arthur Reese passed away Oct. 26, 2017, at his home in Denver, Colorado. Aaron's family and friends, and especially his two sons, Kyler and Keagan, will deeply miss Aaron, his friendly infectious smile and fun sense of humor.
Aaron was born Aug. 23, 1987, in Fairbanks to Donna and Terry Reese. Aaron was always inquisitive, energetic, goal-driven and detail oriented. Aaron loved playing sports. He was an avid soccer player during his youth, playing on comp soccer teams for most of his school years. He also played Pop-Warner football and was on both the football and soccer teams at North Pole High School.
Aaron loved doing things with his hands. He spent many hours playing the guitar, drawing and learning to be a mechanic. As a youth, he could be found in the garage with his dad and friends rebuilding dirt bikes and working on cars. As an adult, he continued working on cars for friends and built a successful remodeling business in Denver, Mainstream Flooring.
Aaron was always up for an adventure and spending time with friends. He enjoyed riding motorcycles, ATVs, hiking, making furniture for his home, cooking and having barbecues with friends.
His true loves were his boys, Kyler and Keagan, and his fiancé, Rochelle Cotten. They were his world, and being a father was his pride and joy. He especially enjoyed being a soccer coach, devoted hands-on dad and building a life with Rochelle.
Aaron was preceded in death by his father, Terence A. Reese; aunts, Lynn Reese and Laura J. Reese; grandmother, Reva J. Oines; grandparents, Arthur and Eva Reese; and cousins, Charles Allen and Alan Oines.
Aaron is survived by his fiancé, Rochelle Cotten; his sons, Kyler and Keagan Reese; his mother, Donna Reese; his sister, Stacey Ciosek; his sister, Heather Hanson-Whatley, her husband, Charles Whatley, and their three daughters, Hannah Hanson, Mackanzie Whatley and Amelia Whatley; his sister, Tara Hobson Reese; his grandparents, Don and Angie Oines; his aunts and uncles, David and Deena Oines, Dan Oines, Dale and Kelly Oines, Kim and Darin Wardwell, Kenny and Tammy Maxwell, Kasey Jackie Maxwell, Kurt Maxwell, and Larry Montgomery; his cousins, Donn Reese and David Nolta, Lisa Mitchell, Sharita and Zeb Mabie, Karensa Allen, Melody and Richard McManus, Tamera and Rudy Spohnholz, Melissa and Jenner Torrance, Mishaela Smith, Sarah Maxwell, Kelsey and Dustin LeFever. Aaron is also survived by his ex-wife and mother of his children, Stephanie Reese, and many more extended family members and friends.
A celebration of life service will be held at 5 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 18 at the IBEW 1547 Hall, 2000 Airport Way in Fairbanks. Refreshments will be served directly after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made for Aaron's sons, Kyler and Keagan Reese. We have also established a Go Fund Me account, and a savings account at First National Bank Alaska for the boys under "Aaron A. Reese Memorial Fund." Please make checks to Donna Reese with Aaron Reese Memorial in the memo section of the checks.
Fly with the angels, dear Aaron; you always loved an adventure! We love and miss you so much. Sleep in peace until we meet again.

I fondly remember Aaron as a young boy in my children's classes and while I worked at North Pole Elementary. My heart is saddened and the world is a smaller place without him in it. Prayers and much love go out to all his family and friends.

Aaron was such a phenomenal person. He was a friend when you needed one, an inspirer for musical development and appreciation, an honest and gentle reminder of the truth, a genuinely happy and strong-hearted person. There's a special place for him out in the mysterious beyond. I'm gonna miss knowing that he's out there living and being a great impact on the lives of others. Rest and rally in peace, Aaron.

I am so deeply sorry about Aaron. Aaron coached my son's soccer team for the past three seasons and he was a terrific coach. The boys on the team loved Coach Aaron and he had such a wonderful way with them. He was patient and encouraging and had such a great sense of humor. He was passionate about soccer, but he never took it too seriously which meant that the boys always had a ton of fun. It was obvious how much he loved his sons and I am terribly sad about this loss for them. To all of Aaron's family and friends, please know that you are in our thoughts.
