Cathy Flowers Obituary

Cathy Jo (Coleman) Flowers, daughter of Glenn David Coleman and Rhea Joanne Reed, was born in East Liverpool, Ohio, on Aug. 23, 1950, and passed at home in Homer, Alaska, on Sept. 6, 2024.

Cathy was a devoted mother to four amazing sons, Kevin (Marsha) Flowers, Kenneth (Jennifer) Flowers, Kristofer (Jenn) Flowers was and was preceded in death by her youngest son, Klinton Flowers. Her love lives on through 20 grandchildren; a brother, Rick Coleman, and her two sisters, Sharon Hall and Sue Mahon-Gamble; and many nieces and nephews.

Cathy was an adventurous spirit and a lover of nature. Her love of Alaska had no equal. Her paintings were true masterpieces and she could make a quilt in a minute. Her creativity had no end. She was truly a loyal friend to many. Her giving spirit will never be forgotten.

Though I have never met Cathy Flowers, I was fortunate enough to come across one of her paintings at a yard sale off of Peede Rd. It has hung in my living room for close to 20 years (if not longer). My sincere condolences to her family. I hope you all have one of her beautiful paintings to remind you of her incredible talent.
