Christopher Eramo Obituary
Christopher was born on May 23, 1983, in Tampa, Florida. He has served his country honorably for over 18 years, including tours of duty in support of OIF and OEF. He received nine Army Commendations Medals, six Army Achievement Medals, Valorous Unit Award, Meritorious Unit Citation, National Defense Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal and Army Service Medal. Christopher was married to Jennilee on Jan. 2, 2005, in Oneonta, New York.
Christopher lived life to the fullest. His hobbies took him over jumps and around berms on his dirt bike, to the depths of the ocean scuba diving, flying the skies in his private planes and taking long rides on his motorcycles. He loved being outside and was always planning the next camping, hiking, fishing or travel adventure. He was a steadfast husband and fiercely loved his dog, Mika, who was by his side for the past 17 years. Christopher was devoted to his family and friends and will be forever loved and greatly missed.
The family would like to thank the tireless efforts of those that provided casualty assistance on the ground, the Medivac team and the hospital staff at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital.
Christopher is survived by his loving wife, Jennilee Eramo, of Fort Wainwright, Alaska; mother, Carolyn Eramo of Greer, South Carolina; sister, Shannon Marie Eramo (Matt) of Zephyrhills, Florida; brother, Dillon Eramo (Ashley) of Hershey, Pennsylvania; grandmother, Anja Eramo of Oneonta, New York; nephews, Michael Singletary of Wesley Chapel, Florida, and Nicholas Courtney of Zephyrhills, Florida; niece, Addilyn Eramo of Hershey, Pennsylvania; as well as beloved uncles, aunts, cousins, extended family and many dear friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Kari Eramo; uncle, Esa Eramo; grandfather, Martti Eramo; grandfather, James Shovan; grandmother, Dorothy Shovan; and uncle, William Shovan.
