David Peters-Levshakoff Obituary

David Adam Peters-Levshakoff, 21, left us way too early unexpectedly Nov. 20, 2013, in Ruby. David was born Oct. 29, 1992, at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital. David just recently spent his 21st birthday with his big bro, Brandon, in Anchorage.
David spent his younger years growing up with his childhood friends, many of them his cousins, riding bikes, making and riding go-carts, and from an early age, he had a lifelong love of basketball. He attended and graduated from Merreline A. Kangas School in 2011.
David was an all-around happy young person, David enjoyed many things in his young life. David loved basketball and would be up for a game anytime. David loved spending time with his family and especially spending time with his little nephew Brandon Jr. David enjoyed camping, hiking and moose hunting with them and also his friend Nate.
David in his short life experienced a lot, he worked many places including up north, in Kantishna, commercial fishing in Bristol Bay, and this summer, he experienced and enjoyed his first firefighting experience. Most recently, David had worked all summer on the school renovation project in the very same school he attended all his school years.
His family shares that David was an extremely loved son and brother, and he was a hard worker with a gentle hand. He broke our hearts to lose him and will be missed terribly.
David was preceded in death by his grandparents Paul and Mary Peters, grandmother Denise, aunt Veronica Nickoli, uncle Marty Levshakoff and other family members.
David leaves behind his loving family to cherish his memories: mother Loretta and father Richard "Gary" Brown; brothers Brandon Peters and fiancé Jackie and Ronnie Brown; stepbrother Trevor Collins and wife Amanda; and sister Alta Brown; nephews Brandon Peters Jr., Oskar and Caleb Collins; grandmother Peggy Peters; grandfather Darryl Jerue; uncles Aaron Peters, Eric Peters, Brandon Jerue, Matthew Jerue and Billy Nickoli; aunts Alta Jerue, Michelle Jerue, Jenalle Jerue and Antanena and husband Rick Rhodes; and many other great uncles, aunts, cousins and numerous friends.
A memorial service will be held Monday, Nov. 25, at Chapel of Chimes Funeral Home with visitation starting at 11 a.m. and service at noon. Funeral services will take place at
11 a.m. Friday, Nov. 29, at the M.A.K school.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Legacy of Alaska Funeral Homes.
