Eric Townsend Obituary
Eric graduated from Lathrop High School in 2004 and entered the workforce, eventually operating large machinery, including construction on the ice roads spanning the Alaskan tundra.
Known for his kindheartedness, charisma and goofy sense of humor, Eric loved making people laugh and touched the hearts of everyone he met. His presence lit up every room he entered. He loved spending time outdoors in Alaska; snowboarding, fly fishing, camping, ice fishing, and playing basketball brought immense and infectious joy. Eric was a proud father. When he spoke of his children, a grin would stretch across his face, and his voice echoed that they were the light of his life. His love for them was boundless, and his loss leaves a void that can never be filled.
Eric was preceded in death by his father, John Edward Townsend. He leaves behind his children, whom he cherished and adored, Madison and Lennon Townsend, and their mother, Ashley Falls. Born the fifth of seven children in the Townsend family, he also leaves behind his siblings: Dylan Townsend, Arlo Townsend (Lisa Beck), Heidi Cuff (Meco Cuff), Odin Townsend (Heather Townsend), Jessie Townsend (Sean Hafemann), and Tessa Townsend, as well as his loving mother, Judy Townsend.
Eric will be missed by all those he touched in his life, as his memory lives on through his family and friends.?Eric's funeral will be held at noon on Aug. 10, 2024, at Our Lady of the Snows Catholic Church in Reno, NV, followed by a gathering to celebrate him at 1768 Three Mile Dr., Reno, NV. The funeral will also be live streamed by Our Lady of the Snows.

Judy Townsend and family,
My mother Donna Ashton was good friends with Judy and this is how we met as well.

We didn´t know Eric, but want to express sincere sympathy to the Goecke and Townsend families. The union of these two groups of people would have to create some awsome human beings. Rest in eternal peace. Randy and Cindy Grapner

Some of my favorite memories growing up were when the family was able to get together during the holidays and being able to hang with all my cool older cousins. If Eric was there then it was guaranteed to be a fun time. He'd always make time to hang with frank and I and that meant more to me than I think he ever realized. I would be lying if I said I didn't try to be like him growing up - because I definitely did and still do. He was loved by everyone he met and lit up every room he was in and I'm just grateful to have known him.
