Kenny Coleman Obituary

Kenny was a loving husband, father, brother, g-pa and friend. Kenny passed away unexpectedly on May 7 at the age of 72, and our world was torn apart in the blink of an eye.
Kenny was born to Kenneth Coleman Sr. And Dorothy Jean Turner on Dec. 17, 1951, in Puyallup, Washington. Kenny moved to Alaska when he was only a few months old in 1952.
Being a husband, father and g-pa brought out the best in Kenny. His time with his grandkids during sleepovers was a very loud special time for us.
Kenny's happy place was at our cabin with his family, hunting with his son's and good friend Gary. He also loved grooming the trails for the past 15 years in the Caribou Cabin Hills for the community to enjoy.
Kenny's achievements were starting out as a truck driver, business agent, vice president, president then the highest position of the Teamsters as their Secretary Treasure.
He sacrificed his retirement time to help his fellow set netters. Kenny never missed a Board of Fisheries meeting in Anchorage. He attended these meetings from 1979 to 2024. Kenny also worked tirelessly on a bill he created for the past 10 years to help his fellow set netters (Buy Back/Gear Reduction). Sadly, he will not see this done.
Kenny was preceded in death by his mother, Dottie Moorehead; father, Kenneth Coleman Sr.; daughter, Connie Coleman; sister, Connie Jean Whitfield.
Kenny's life is celebrated by his wife Vicki; sons, Bryon (Tiffany) Coleman, Kyle (Lacey) Coleman; sisters, Sherry (Charlie) Henley and Debbie (Larry) Bouwens; grandchildren, Brooklyn and Easton Coleman, Presley and Kamden Coleman, and Lyza Trux; father-in-law, Gus Vendetti; mother-in-law, Barbara Vendetti; brother-in-law, Tom Vendetti; nieces, Kelly (Jeff) Conway, Kimberly Bird and Krista Vendetti; nephews, Buddy Tum Suden, Larry (Heather) Bouwens, Darrin Bowens, C.J. Henley and Justin Gindro.
In memory of a very special husband:
When God was making husbands as far as I can see, he made a special soulmate especially for me. He made a perfect gentleman, compassionate and kind, with more love and affection than you could ever wish to find. He gave my husband a heart of solid gold, only my heart can hold, he was someone I could talk to that no one can replace, he was someone I could laugh with till tears ran down my face. Next time we meet will be at heaven's door, when I see you standing there I won't cry anymore. I will put my arms around you and kiss your smiling face, then the pieces of my broken heart will fall back into place. Miss you so much.
A celebration of life will be held later this summer.

My heart goes out to all of you. Kenny´s passing will not only affect his family but his abundance of great friends. He truly was a one-of-a-kind guy whom I had so much respect for as I´d known him since childhood. Rest in Peace Kenny
