Kirk Mercer Obituary
Kirk was known for his unwavering dependability and willingness to help those around him. He often reflected on the values instilled in him during his upbringing, expressing gratitude for the life lessons that shaped his character. He led a quiet life filled with integrity and pride.
Professionally, Kirk dedicated over 31 years to the Department of Transportation in Healy, Alaska - a career he cherished deeply. He often remarked that he couldn't have chosen a better path and would gladly do it all over again.
Kirk is survived by his brothers, Baxter Mercer (Renee) and Dwight Mercer; his sister, Wilma Marcorelle (Deric); his children, Heather Mercer, Delila Schmidt (Ryan), Kyle Mercer and Kaila Boone; and his grandchildren, Brendan Ahseln, Blake Williquette, Cecilia Schmidt and Henry Schmidt. He was preceded in death by his parents, Berle and Claire Mercer, as well as his brothers, Rex Mercer and Howard Mercer.
Kirk's life was a testament to the values of family, hard work, and service. His legacy will be cherished by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May his memory bring comfort to those who loved him.

Kirk and I worked together for thirty plus years, and I've known him for fifty plus years. He was a man of his word. Honest, reliable, hard working, a good friend and so much more.
