Marilyn Louise Joseph

1982 - 2022

Our beloved Marilyn Louise Joseph left us unexpectedly July 19, 2022. She was born Feb. 26, 1982, to Shirley Nollner Thompson and William "Chuck" Charlie in Fairbanks, Alaska. She grew up in both Fairbanks and Minto. She attended school at Minto School, Mt. Edgecumbe High School and Howard Luke Academy. She obtained her GED through ALPA in front.

There were many things she loved to do. From drawing, journaling and reading, to dancing, driving and cooking. She enjoyed watching cooking shows and trying new recipes for meals to share with family and friends. She loved family get togethers and doted on her nieces and nephews.

Aug. 4, 2014, she married Bryan Joseph Sr., and together they have two girls - Taralyn (Sweets Sweets) and Brylee (Pretty Girl). She also has four children from a previous marriage - Aislynn, Dietrick, Delilah and Dylan. Her children were her heart and world.

She is survived by her husband, Bryan; her children along with her stepchildren, Lethearen, Latrell, Bryan Jr. and Emma; her parents, Shirley (Elmer) and William; siblings, Lilah (Joeseph), William and Billy; grandmother, Edith Nollner; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews; and special friends, Candace Charlie and Rebecca Druck.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Chris Nollner Sr. and Lige and Susie Charlie; daughter, Bryana Louise; and a number of aunts and uncles from both Minto and Fairbanks.

The funeral service will be Thursday, July 28, with visitation at 11 a.m. then services at noon at the David Salmon Tribal Hall. She will be laid to rest at Birch Hill Cemetery, with a traditional potlatch to follow.
