Marsha Albright Obituary

Marsha Hall Albright, 69, passed into God's Kingdom Feb. 25, 2021, at her home in Fairbanks, Alaska, with her husband, Doug, at her side.
Marsha was born August 1951 to Max and Betty Hall in Atlanta, Georgia. She passed her youth in Marietta, Georgia, and graduated from Marietta High School in 1969.
Marsha loved to learn new things. She earned a B.A. in French with a minor in German and spent a year in France as an exchange student. Her studies continued, and she earned Master's Degrees in audiology and speech pathology from BYU in 1990.
Marsha found the peace of the Restored Gospel of Jesus Christ and was baptized into The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in 1980, and served a church mission to Taiwan in 1982, where she loved the Taiwanese people and became conversant in Mandarin Chinese.
She traveled to Alaska in 1988 in pursuit of a teaching job, and met her future husband, Doug, in 2000, and after a beautiful courtship, they were married in June 2002. Marsha and Doug made their home in Fairbanks, where she was a prolific gardener and a successful beekeeper, as well.
In 2013 she traveled to Spain and completed the 500 mile pilgrimage of the Camino Santiago on foot, an accomplishment she enjoyed sharing with others.
Marsha enjoyed moose hunting in the hills and valleys north of Fairbanks and harvested and dressed her own moose with Doug. (Her faithful pack mule).
Her love of Jesus Christ, His Gospel and the scriptures are the bedrock that she anchored her life on. Doug was truly blessed to have Marsha as his companion for 17 years.
Our deepest thanks go out to our church family and the incredible staff of Hospice Care at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital, and especially our dear friend and caregiver, Roxie, all of whom brought comfort to our home during these trying times. Mere words do not do justice to their service.
Marsha was preceded in death by her brothers, Chip and Jimbo, and her mother, Betty. She is survived by her husband, Doug; her father, Max; sister, Susan (Wes) Breeding; and nieces, Jennifer and Leah, and nephew,  Craig.
Private graveside services will be held in the spring.
