Robert Bird Obituary
After graduating from Avon High School in 1966, Bob spent 20 years on active duty with the Air Force starting out in Vietnam and ending up in Alaska at Eielson Air Force Base near North Pole. He called North Pole home with his first wife, the late Jean Severn Bird, and Katherine Seaman Bird for over 41 years when he finally made the move south to The Villages, Florida, to enjoy the heat. He always said the heat and humidity didn't bother him because he was still thawing out!
Wherever he went he never met a stranger and made an impact on so many lives.

I enjoyed running into him at meetings, and his can do attitude. My sincere condolences to the good doctor´s family, he was a good man, and contributed greatly to the Natives health in interior Alaska. Thank you doc.

Bob was our next door neighbor in Alaska for over 25 years. Didn't matter the circumstances, Bob always had a sense of humor. Awesome personality and a barrel
full of great jokes! He kept us laughing. He was a great guy and a proud Alaskan. He loved everything about the last frontier. Glad Bob and his wife Kathy got to head south and enjoy the Florida sunshine. He'll be missed.
