Robert Hutchison Obituary
Robert attended Central Daulphin High School and joined the U.S. Army on Dec. 31, 1968, where he served our country for 20 years before retiring on Feb. 2, 1988. Robert married Sherri Bushey on June 29, 1979. Robert and Sherri celebrated 33 years of marriage this year.
Robert was a loyal member of the Elks Lodge 1551, Fraternal Order of the Eagles 1037, and Loyal Order of the Moose 1932 in Fairbanks. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding his Harley motorcycle. When his health began to fail, he enjoyed playing pinochle.
Robert is survived by his beloved wife, Sherri (Bushey) Hutchison; three daughters, Tammy Naugle of Gettysburg, Pa., Tracy Musselwhite of Shermans Dale, Pa., and Terry Mendez of Halifax, Pa.; brother, James Hutchison of Middletown, Pa.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; brother-in-law, James Bushey and partner Rose Elsner; friend, James Keller; many nieces and nephews; and his pet poodle, Buster, who was always at his side, even to the end.
Robert is preceded in death by his parents, Earl and Margaret Hutchison; sisters, Shirley Strickler and Adella Burger; and brother, Norman Edward Hutchison.
The family would like to thank Dr. Bartling and the staff of Denali Care Center for their great care of Robert since he has been there.
A celebration of life will be held in Fairbanks at a later date.
A service of remembrance will be held at
10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at the New Life Assembly of God, 397 Bridgeport Road, Landisburg, Pa., followed by a celebration of life for family and friends at the New Bloomfield VFW Post 7463, 71 Soule Road in New Bloomfield, Pa.
Rest in peace, Robert, you are finally out of pain. We love you and will miss you greatly.
Arrangements are entrusted to Fairbanks Funeral Home.

Sorry for your loss Sherri and all family members. Uncle Bob you will be greatly missed. Even though I didn't get to see you very often, you were in my thoughts all the time. My most special memory of uncle Bob was when he surprised me by showing up at my work thinking I wouldn't recognize him when he came to the cash register. (nice try though)It was such a great surprise that I will never forget it. I loved him more than words can say. Love you and miss you!

This was a shock as I just had talked with him when I was in for a pre-op appointment. Sherrie and all, Raye Ann and I send our most sincere condolences. Having been Bob's roommate for almost 4 months, it was an experience having him and Buster around and getting to share daily life. It was a pleasure having Bob join our Old Fart's club. RIP Bob, I was so looking forward to get back to Denali Center for a visit, which I am still working on once I make it through surgery and re-hab.

Something brought me to the Newsminer today and now I know what it was. Bob, you were an amazing man and mentor to me. You took me under your wing and taught some of the finer things in life like ice fishing in style! I'm sorry we didn't stay in touch after I moved. I will regret that forever but I will cherish the fun times we had together. I have thought about you often. I'm glad your not in pain anymore. I will miss you my friend.
