Steven Resa Obituary

It is with great sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of Steven Ray Resa, 63, on Aug. 28, 2025, to a bout with cancer.
He is survived by father, Ernest Resa of Palmdale, California; brothers, David Resa (Beth) of Wichita, Kansas, and Brian Resa of Palmdale, California; and sister, Cathy Resa Fitzgerald (Kevin) of North Pole, Alaska. Also, survived by his only child, Darren Ray Resa (Krystal), of Fairbanks, Alaska; and grandson, JB Resa; and granddaughter, Logan Rae Resa of Fairbanks, Alaska; and many nieces, grand-nieces and nephews and grand-nephews.
Steve is proceeded in death by his mother, Dolores Resa; and brother, Christopher Resa.
Steve attended Juniper Elementary School, Paraclete High School and the University of Alaska Fairbanks. He played basketball and baseball in high school and achieved All League and All CIF status with CIF Champs in 1980. He also participated in the Men's Baseball Legue in Fairbanks, Alaska. Steve was also a member of MENSA, high IQ club.
Steve loved following his beloved LA Dodgers, The UCLA Bruins, LA Lakers and the local Lancaster Jethawks baseball team. Steve attended countless games at the Jethawks with family and friends.
Steve loved showing and sharing stories and photos of his Alaska grandkids!
Steve was also an avid music fan of Eric Clapton and Southern California rock.
Rest easy Steve, as you are no longer in pain.

To The Resa Family
Condolences on the passing of Steve. The Resa Family was always close to me as Steve's older brother Dave played basketball for the Nanooks. Rest In Peace my friend.
