Drucella Ann McGee was born April 5, 1960 in the Hankinson Hospital. She was the daughter of Herman (Mack) McGee and Lucella (McGee) Hrdlicka. She was baptized April 24, 1960 at Holy Cross Lutheran Church in Lidgerwood and was confirmed in the faith June 2, 1974 at Holy Cross. She graduated from Lidgerwood High School in 1978. She attended and completed a course in upholstery at NDSSS in Wahpeton, ND.
Dru was very active in sports. She enjoyed basketball and softball (centerfield)! She loved horses. She worked at a girl's horse camp in South Dakota a few summer seasons.
She moved to Minneapolis, St. Paul area where she was involved in many aspects of food service, setting up banquets and large social events.
After being diagnosed, at a very young age, she was treated for cancer. Dru then returned to North Dakota to stay with her mom. She enjoyed gardening and canning zealously!
Dru met David Lemans and they became partners in life and in his very successful construction company. They lived in Lidgerwood and Hankinson for many years. After Dave's passing she remained in Lidgerwood.
Years later, on a food service run Dru met Gerald DuWayne Dill at a little restaurant in Stirum, ND and there she remained for 11 years with "Dilly". Dru devoted her time, energy and love to Dilly and that establishment in Stirum.
She is preceded in death by her father Herman, mother, Lucella and step dad, Charlie Hrdlicka.
Angels came to carry her home September 16, 2025 from the loving care she received at the Oakes Good Samaritan Center, Oakes, ND. A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 4, 2025 at 1 p.m. at Immanuel Lutheran Church, rural Lidgerwood, ND.
