Allen Utter Obituary

Allen Utter
December 26, 1965 - February 28, 2023
Raleigh, North Carolina - My sweet angel Allen left this world February 28, 2023. Allen was the most cherished Christmas present any parent could wish for; he was a special gift from God. Despite the challenges he faced throughout his life, Allen always had a smile on his handsome face. He was a blessing for his mother and his grandparents, John and Martha Moras, whom he affectionately called Pa and Maw Maw. Their unconditional love for Allen was like no other love in the world; he will forever be their precious "booshie!'
Allen enjoyed being out in the community around people. Bowling was one of Allen's favorite pastimes; his friend Emily was his best bowling buddy. Pullen Park was a fun and joyous outing for him. Allen got great pleasure from walking at the mall and watching all the shoppers. He looked forward to Saturday night because he knew he would get to eat cheese burgers and french fries from McDonalds.
Allen loved to play ball with his care providers; when he said "catch," it was time to throw the ball. Allen had a cat named Toby who would sit in his lap for hours which was a great comfort for him.
Allen had a good life and was a happy guy. His sense of humor brought happiness to everyone around him. The joy and love he brought to his mother will be sorely missed.
Allen is survived by his mother, Dorothy Moras Altman. A graveside service will be held Tuesday, March 7th, 2023 at 3 PM at Montlawn Cemetery.
Rest in peace Allen. Your mother will always love you.

Very nice obituary, the cat reminds me of the famous cat tombstone that read: "He was only a cat but was human enough to be of great comfort in hours of lonliness and pain"

Dottie, what a wonderful tribute to your son. It brought me to tears. Every word expresses your love. Edouard spoke of Allen often and how much he admired your devotion to his care. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Remembering you and your family. Allen was very special to my family. My mom and I as friends of Jo Ann and Mrs. Utter have fond memories of helping with Allen when he was a young child.
