Alvin Akers Obituary

Alvin Vincent "Vince" Akers, 41, died at University of North Carolina Medical Center, Monday, May 7th, 2001. Formally of the Laurel Fork Community, and born in Bluefield, WV. Mr. Akers currently operated his own tree trimming business in North Carolina.
He is survived by: his parents, Roy A. & Betty L. Disibbio-Akers of Laurel Fork Community; one son, Eric Akers of Chapel Hill, NC; one daughter, Nichole ""Nikki'' Akers of Chapel Hill, NC; mother of his children; Teresa Akers of Chapel Hill, NC; one brother, Brian Akers of Laurel Fork Community; one nephew, Tyler Akers ofLaurel Fork Community; one niece, Kacie Akers of Laurel Fork Community; a host a family and friends also survive.
The family will receive friends at the Highland Funeral Service, Bland Chapel, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Thursday evening May 10th, 2001. Funeral service will be held Friday, May 11th, at 2:00 p.m. at the Highland Bland Funeral Chapel. Interment willfollow at the Grandview Cemetery, Bluefield, VA.
Highland Funeral Service Bland Chapel in Bland, Virginia will be serving the Akers Family.
