Amos Tyndall Obituary

Amos Tyndall, 84, died Wednesday, May 24, 2006 at The Home Place in New Bern. Graveside service will be held 2 p.m. Saturday at Greenleaf Memorial Park with the Rev. Mike Wilkinson officiating.
His wife, Lilla Mae "Toots" Tyndall; a great-grandson, Johnathan Alan Merchant; parents, Della and Paul Tyndall; five sisters and six brothersall precede him in death.
Survivors include: his son, Granger Tyndall and his wife, Judy of Swansboro; four grandchildren, Gwen Stoecker and her husband, Randy of Ames, IA, Amos Granger Tyndall and his wife, Beverley of Chapel Hill, Anthony DeanTyndall and his wife, Vickie of New Bern and Michelle Tyndall of Swansboro; four sisters, Eula Lee of Swansboro, Etta Oliver,Della Kinsey, Elsie Hill, all of Pink Hill; eight great-grandchildren, Zachary, Judy Catherine and Ryan Mohn of Iowa, Carl Granger Merchant of Swansboro, Henry and Will Tyndall of Chapel Hill, Caroline and Maggie Tyndall of New Bern.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to the Piney Grove Baptist Church, P.O. Box 1277, Swansboro, NC 28584, The Swansboro Baseball and Softball Association (Sanders Park), P.O. Box 1873, Swansboro, NC 28584 or to the Craven CountyHospice, Memorials at Craven County Health Foundation, P.O. Drawer 12610, New Bern, NC 28561.
The family will receive friends Friday night from 6-8 p.m. at Jones Funeral Home, Swansboro.
